CT Man Found Shot To Death In Car, Police Say

A Connecticut man was found shot to death in a car when police responded to a report of a serious car accident.

Hartford County resident Tyrik Walcott, age 22, of Windsor, was found in the vehicle in front of the 2Cuzn's convenience store on Bellevue Street around 8:45 a.m., Sunday, Feb. 6.

Walcott, Hartford’s second homicide victim of the year, was found in the driver's seat of the vehicle when officers responded, said Lt. Aaron Boisvert, of the Hartford Police 

He was extricated from the vehicle by Hartford Fire and it was then discovered he was suffering from a gunshot wound, Boisvert said.

Wolcott was transported to St. Francis Hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

The Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions responded and assumed the investigation.
